Hello from a couple years later!! It’s amazing how fast time flies and how much has happened. I rediscovered this blog and thought, why not try to keep it up again? I started it when I was quite young, hence the funny name 😜; not exactly the blog name I would choose now. I’ve been trying to find some new hobbies and thought I would give this a go! 🙂 not entirely sure what to expect or what it will be about but that’s the fun of the unknown 😉 so bear with me and let’s give this a chance!
hi! I feel like every post I write, I have an excuse or I just say ‘I’m sorry’ for not writing. So today I won’t say anything since it’s just understood and just catch you all up! I have something exciting I’m going to announce soon so stay tuned for that! I always say I’m going to be more consistent and I really do want to be but life just gets in the way and I just put it off. And I also don’t know what I really want to write about. I have a few posts in mind that I’ll do but what is it you all like to read about? Let me know! Alright that’s all for now! I’ll see you shortly in my next post.
Well hello there! I don’t know where you are in the world, but where I am, it’s a cold, snowy day. I know it has been such a long time since I have put up a new post. I could say I have been busy, but to be honest, I’ve chosen other things to do. But this snowy day has created the perfect motivation for me to get back into the blogging world and think about spring! So for today’s post I’m going to show some spring trends and where you can get them.
1) Saddle Bags!
I am probably most excited about this trend, considering how much I love all sorts of bags. This purse is so cute, not too big or too small, and perfect to keep your daily essentials in. But it’s also $1,400. http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/chloe-medium-marcie-leather-crossbody-bag/3822709?cm_cat=datafeed&cm_ite=634267_1&cm_pla=women:bags:handbag&cm_ven=Google_Product_Ads_pla_online&mr:referralID=7769a966-b7b6-11e4-82f7-001b2166c2c0
So I found an alternative that’s just as cute!
It’s from Daily Look and is more affordable at $49.99. So whether you want to splurge or save, I think this style of bag is a must-have for this season! Get it here: http://www.dailylook.com/p/Bags/DAILYLOOK-Classic-Saddlebag-Purse/96248.html
2) Pastels/ Florals! (of course)
It wouldn’t be spring if pastels or florals weren’t still trendy. Yet thank goodness they both are! I am excited for both trends, as usual, and love how they twist the same style each year to make it just a bit different yet just as cute.
And again, you don’t have to splurge to wear this trend.
This lavender skirt is such a cute style with a sort of princess vibe to it. The crop top adds a trendy look to it, or you can add a more flow-y, cream colored top. Shop for it here: https://www.lulus.com/products/beauty-and-the-pleats-lavender-vegan-leather-midi-skirt/198850.html
This site also has many choices, so be sure to check it out for different styles and colors!
I am excited for this trend. You can definitely choose to go edgy or feminine with this look.
This skirt can be either subtle or showy, just depending on how you want to style it! But if you want to go more subtle yet keep the trend, try this cream colored top, also from H & M.
And if that is still too much for you, try a small crossbody bag with just a tad bit of fringe to it!
This purse is from Rebecca Minkoff. I just love her bags and think this one is absolutely adorable and worth the splurge! 🙂
So there you go! Those are just a couple of this year’s trends, and I can’t wait until it’s warm enough so I can start wearing pastels and florals, my usual favorite. 🙂
Hope you have a great day, wherever you are, and thanks for stopping by!
Until next time…
Well hello there!
I hope that you are doing well on this beautiful, sunny, chilly day! 🙂 In just a couple days, one of my sister’s is getting married! We are all so excited for her as she starts on her new journey. Since we sisters were her chosen bridesmaids, we all had to come up with dresses that matched her style and color scheme. And boy, was it hard! She had a lot of requirements for her choice of dress, so it was a long before I found mine. And even still, it’s not the best choice. But the wedding is about her, not me, so I will be happy in whatever I am wearing! 😉
The people over at Promtimes ( http://www.promtimes.co.uk/ ) contacted me to write an article about their newest website. And guess what it is about? Bridesmaid dresses! I wish now I had known about their site before I ordered my dress. They have so many cute, fancy, and trendy dresses over there that it would have been so easy to find the one I needed. And if you’re in the same boat I was, check out their website to see if their dresses match what you need! And right now, they’re having a sale, so another plus. 🙂 I’ve read the customer reviews and have not come across one where the customer was unsatisfied. True, there are haters out there, but over all, they had great reviews! (the reviews are at the end of each page on their site, so you won’t have any trouble finding them.)
So go check out their site and see if there’s something on there you can’t live without for the formal attire you need! http://www.promtimes.co.uk/
Just click on the pictures below to be redirected to their website and to the exact dress.
These were just a few of their dresses I picked to give you an example of what they have; they have hundreds of dresses to choose from, so you are bound to find one that fits your personality and style! So be sure to check out their website and let them know I sent you!
I thought I would share with you my go-to look for fall! I recently splurged on some over-the-knee boots and have honestly worn them about every day since. I wear them with leggings and some sort of oversized shirt. While the top and bottom are casual, the boots add a sophisticated, put together look that make it so easy to find an outfit to wear, especially on those days when I’m rushed and need a quick outfit. So I found a few pictures that will hopefully inspire you in finding an outfit to wear with over the knee boots. If you don’t have any, I highly recommend getting some! They’re very popular this season, not to mention how cute they are. They come in all styles, so find some that match your personality! 🙂

I am SO excited that the weather is finally turning cold! This week will be in the 70’s, but hopefully it will go down to the 60’s soon. I know I am not the only person who loves sweater weather!! So today I thought I would show you my favorite fall outfits.
My number 1 outfit is the one below. Skirts, tights and a sweater tucked in with boots or heels is my favorite go-to look for the fall. It’s so simple to put together but such a cute finished look. Invest in a couple skater skirts and you’ll be prepared for the colder weather ahead!
This season, it’s all about layering. This first look is definitely casual and perfect for, say, an apple picking day! But I personally love the second look. It’s also a bit more casual, but at the same time, it’s very put together and perfect for a shopping day with friends. 🙂
This last look is one of my favorites for a comfy day. An oversized sweater is warm, comfy and cute. Can’t beat that! Just finish it off with leggings and boots (or heels, if you want to dress it up a little more) and you have an easy, put together look!
This summer there’s a new trend you may have already seen. It’s the T-Shirt Logo trend. You know, the shirts that have something written on them, like Coca-Cola in the picture below.
According the fashion industry, you should go with a shirt that has just a few words on it. You don’t want to be wearing typography all over. So they suggest wearing denim, or a cute leather skirt, to subdue the written words on your shirt.
The outfit below is super cute! Wearing a shirt with words can definitely dress down any outfit. But worn with a cute skirt, maybe some heels, and you can dress it up!
This next outfit is obviously casual. But it’s still cute! Worn with heels and a cute bag, this is a fun outfit to wear. You could also accessorize with multiple necklaces, bracelets or rings!
This is more of a fall outfit with the jacket, so it would be a good transition from summer to autumn. But you can always replace the jacket with a blazer, or just wear the t-shirt without any sort of jacket. Black skinnies dress up this outfit without any effort. And as a side note, those wide-brimmed hats are definitely in style!
So those are just a few examples of ways you could wear this new trend! My favorite of these would definitely be the first outfit! Which one is your favorite? And would you ever wear this trend? Let me know! 🙂
So I have recently started to wear more blazers. A couple years ago I was into them, and then I just stopped wearing them. But I have rediscovered a love for them and thought I would share how to wear a black blazer in three different ways! 🙂
The first look is a very casual look. Even though the blazer is nice, you can definitely dress it down by wearing jeans and a t-shirt underneath the blazer.
The next look is a little bit more dressy, but still casual enough that you could wear this type of outfit anywhere. It reminds me of a perfect summer date night look. 🙂
This last outfit is definitely more dressy. By wearing a skirt and lots of jewelry, you can easily dress up a blazer. And the good thing about a black blazer is that it matches any color! 🙂
So if you don’t have a black blazer, I would have to urge you to invest in one! They match any outfit, and easily make it look put together. Even if you are wearing jeans and a white t-shirt, throw on a blazer, a cute necklace, and you have an adorable outfit! 🙂
I just got back from Disneyworld in Florida! We all had a great time; it was so much fun! I have a blog post about what I wore coming soon, so keep on the look out for that. But for today’s post, I was introduced to this website called Raise.com where you can buy and sell discounted gift cards! I thought it was a great idea and wanted to share that with you. But there was also a blog post on their website about whether you’re saving or splurging when a store tries to sell you something. I read the article and loved it. I thought it was a great post that showed different websites and whether you’re saving by using them, or whether you’re being ripped off, so to speak. So I am excited to share the article with you! I hope it helps you to resist splurging! My weakness that I always splurge on is purses. I will see a purse on sale and just HAVE to get it. What are some of your weaknesses that you splurge on? Let me know! Okay, enough ramble. Here’s the article. 🙂 p.s. Here’s the link to read it on their website if you so desire: https://www.raise.com/blog/impulse-buying-splurging-think-youre-saving/

Everyone loves a good deal, and we know how good it feels when you actually save money. On a surface level, however, what sometimes appears to be a good deal ends up costing us more than we were planning to spend in the first place.
Retailers have recognized this for a long time, but the fast-paced online world has made it especially easy to tap into our fear of missing out (FOMO) and convince us to impulse buy. Here are a few popular types of sites that have sprung up in the last few years, and how they coax you into spending money you shouldn’t.
Examples: Groupon, LivingSocial
What they are: Sites like Groupon and LivingSocial send members daily deals through email, often to local restaurants or events, though they also have more retail-focused deals. The offers range from the mundane (pay $5 for $10 at a local restaurant) to the ridiculous ($100 for a bedtime tuck in). Each deal depends on a certain number of people buying it in order to happen.
How they pull you in: The perceived savings are often very high—Groupon’s website is selling a $999 elliptical machine for $329, for instance. That’s $670 off! And lots of the smaller local restaurant deals, which amount to 50% off, might seem like no-brainers.
Why they’re a splurge: Would you ever consider buying that elliptical in the first place? Whatever the original sticker price (and incidentally, nowhere online is the machine selling for more than $500), you’re still paying close to $350 for something you probably don’t need (or could find a less-expensive version of elsewhere).
There’s the matter of expiration dates, too. Somewhere between 20-40% of Groupons go unused. What good is getting half off at a local restaurant (especially if you wouldn’t otherwise eat out) if you then miss the cutoff? At that point, you’ve just wasted your money–money you might not otherwise have spent in the first place.
FLASH SALE SITES
Examples: HauteLook, Beyond the Rack
What they are: Flash sale sites like HauteLook and Beyond the Rack offer limited-time sales on designer brands. (Technically, deal-of-the-day sites like Groupon and LivingSocial are a kind of flash-sale site, too.)
How they pull you in: Flash sale sites are all about the fear of missing out: the idea that you must buy this now or you’ll never be able to (Beyond the Rack even calls their sales “events”). They also focus on “perceived savings.”
Why they’re a splurge: Again, if you buy something you wouldn’t have otherwise, or spend more than you were planning to, you haven’t saved anything, regardless of how far an item was marked down from its list price. Plus, shoppers may assume that the prices offered on these sites are the lowest around when they often aren’t. Lastly, expensive shipping and restrictive return policies can quickly add up to buyer’s remorse.
Examples: BirchBox, NatureBox
What they are: Subscriptions are nothing new, but they’ve branched well beyond newspapers and magazines. You can now subscribe to get just about anything regularly in the mail, from Japanese snacks, to dog toys, and even meat.
How they pull you in: The boxes usually sound like a great deal–$10 a month for cosmetic samples? $20 for healthy snacks? Sure! There’s also convenience. You don’t have to step out of your door or even browse around online to order. And most places position themselves as experts who have done the hard work of picking things out for you that you wouldn’t find for yourself.
Why they’re a splurge: When you actually break down the cost of what’s in the box, it doesn’t always seem like that great of a deal. The monthly price adds up quickly ($264 per year for socks sounds a lot more expensive than $22 per month).
You may end up wasting what’s in the box. BirchBox sends a box of cosmetics samples to your door each month, but how many can you really use? And, while many boxes try to cater to your specific needs and preferences, there’s no guarantee you’ll like everything they send you.
As with other sites on this list, subscription boxes sound like a good deal. But they often end up enticing you to spend much more than you actually would, on things you don’t necessarily need. Plus, you might be forced to sign up for several months at a time with no way out if you decide you don’t want the service.
