So I thought I would rave about this random product I have been loving lately. I got is as a sample from Sephora last week and have been using it daily. I love it! It’s a natural exfoliant that leaves my skin feeling really soft and glowing. It’s called Facial Radiance Polish from First Aid Beauty. The sample came in this tiny little bottle and it has lasted over a week! You just use a tiny little bit on your face and it works wonders. The product is a little bit more pricy ($24) so I am kind of hesitant to buy the full bottle, but I know that it will be great investment. Most products break out my face, but this one has natural ingredients and it has been wonderful to use. So I thought I would just throw that out there and let you know about this product in case you were on the hunt for a new facial wash. I will link it down below in case you want to try it for yourself! Have a great day and I will hopefully talk to you soon! 🙂
Fall is my favorite time of the year. Besides the gorgeous weather, fall brings other things I look forward to each year!
1. I love nail polish, and this year I am loving Sally Hansen’s insta-dry Cinna-Snap color. It is a perfect color for the fall.
2. Another color I am loving for the fall is also from Sally Hansen. It’s called ‘Slick Slate’.
3. I cannot even begin to describe to you how much I love candy corn. I can, and have, eaten an entire bag of it in two days. It is amazing! I wish they would make it year round, but it is still a fun and yummy treat to look forward to each year!
4. I love Starbucks year-round, but it is so fun to get a hot drink on a cool, autumn day. My favorite from there is the Caramel Macchiato.
5. And, of course, I love this time of year where you can wear a comfy, over sized sweater and boots! Unfortunately, the weather outside is not yet cold enough to do that, but I can’t wait until it is!
So those are some of my favorite things I love about fall. What are yours?
I felt like writing this post to help encourage you, and me, to live beautifully from within. I am sure we all know that we won’t stay young forever. We age. It happens, no matter what we try to do to stop it. Our outer beauty won’t last, but our inner beauty does!
I don’t know if you’re like me, but I find myself spending so much time and even money on trying to make my outer self appear beautiful. And I like that word there: appear. So many of us will put on a face, or act a certain way to cover up our inner selves. We cover our face with makeup so no one can see the real us. It’s just an appearance; it’s not our true self. I’m not saying that trying to make the outside of us look good is wrong, because it isn’t! We should try to present ourselves put together, and show the world that we try to take care of our bodies.
But we should never try to cover up the natural beauty God has given us. He gave us a personality, our weird quirks, our character, and the body He wanted us to have. And those are the things that will last until we breathe our last. Those are the things we should spend the most of our ‘getting ready in the morning’ time one. My mom once told me something that really stood out to me, and has caused me to think each time I get ready. She said this: “If you spend as much time on your character as you do your makeup, think of how much better of a person you could be.” Wow, right? It’s so true! We should always strive to be a better person; to love others better than ourselves; ‘to be the change we want to see in the world.’ (I can’t remember who said that quote, but I love it!)
I know it is so hard to try to live beautifully from within. We live in a world where every woman is supposed to be a certain person, to look a certain way, to act a certain way… We have to live up to the world’s standards, or we aren’t considered popular or cool. But if we were all the same, think of how boring the world would be! That is what makes us so unique: we all have something different about us that we can add to the world. We all have our own strengths and weaknesses that God has give us to continually work on. And as a Christian, it makes me sad to see how so many people get caught up in the material possessions of this world. And I’m guilty of that too! Trust me, I know how hard is to be your own person in this world. But embrace your beauty and your flaws. Our flaws are what make us human; they cause me to be stop and think, and be thankful that I am not perfect, and that I will always have something to work on in this life.
So be glad with who you are. Love those imperfections that make you, you! Be thankful everyday for the blessing you have to live. Oh, and live life from within!
I don’t know about you, but I love reading quotes! I feel like they are so inspiring; I write them everywhere. At one point, my whole mirror was covered in quotes! So I just thought I would share some with you today.
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.” -Helen Keller
“Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible’!” -Audrey Hepburn
“We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone.”- Ronald Reagan
“The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries or the way she combs her hair.”
(And my personal favorite 🙂 )
“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.” -Audrey Hepburn
I hope these quotes were inspiring to you. Every day is a gift, and I hope you have a fabulous one today!
Here are 5 weird beauty tips that will be sure to save you time and money!
1) Dry out pimples/blemishes on your face by dabbing toothpaste on them!
2) Remove nail polish by applying a coat of clear nail polish then immediately wipe it off with a cotton ball!
3) Clean makeup brushes at least once a week to free your skin from bacteria the brushes collect!
4) A splash of olive oil on a cotton ball removes eyes makeup!
5) Weight does not define beauty!

I was sitting over a cup of coffee, mulling over the idea of a fashion blog. Because it has been something I’ve wanted to do for quite some time, I decided it was about time I take it out of my head and into my fingers. I am excited to get this blog started and hope you are too. So hang in there with me, and let’s get this show on the runway!
