My Go-To Fall Look!

Hey everyone!

I thought I would share with you my go-to look for fall! I recently splurged on some over-the-knee boots and have honestly worn them about every day since. I wear them with leggings and some sort of oversized shirt. While the top and bottom are casual, the boots add a sophisticated, put together look that make it so easy to find an outfit to wear, especially on those days  when I’m rushed and need a quick outfit. So I found a few pictures that will hopefully inspire you in finding an outfit to wear with over the knee boots. If you don’t have any, I highly recommend getting some! They’re very popular this season, not to mention how cute they are. They come in all styles, so find some that match your personality! 🙂

1 Blazer- 3 Ways!

Hey everyone!

So I have recently started to wear more blazers. A couple years ago I was into them, and then I just stopped wearing them. But I have rediscovered a love for them and thought I would share how to wear a black blazer in three different ways! 🙂

The first look is a very casual look. Even though the blazer is nice, you can definitely dress it down by wearing jeans and a t-shirt underneath the blazer.

The next look is a little bit more dressy, but still casual enough that you could wear this type of outfit anywhere. It reminds me of a perfect summer date night look. 🙂

This last outfit is definitely more dressy. By wearing a skirt and lots of jewelry, you can easily dress up a blazer. And the good thing about a black blazer is that it matches any color! 🙂

So if you don’t have a black blazer, I would have to urge you to invest in one! They match any outfit, and easily make it look put together. Even if you are wearing jeans and a white t-shirt, throw on a blazer, a cute necklace, and you have an adorable outfit! 🙂

Fashion Tip #11!

#11- Organize your closet!

I don’t know about you, but I for one will almost always find my closet a huge mess. Organizing/neatness does not come easily or naturally to me. If I really want something to be clean, I have to work really hard at it. And it’s not very often when that does happen. I like the idea of organization and having a clean place, but honestly I don’t work hard enough for that to happen. But there’s always room to grow, right? 🙂 My closet is always a mess. I get in a hurry, throw my clothes in the door and shut it, hoping they don’t all tumble down. I was looking for tips on how to keep it clean and thought I would share them with you! I got these from this site ( ). They have some great tips. I will share just a couple, but would suggest you visit their site to find out more! I am going to be following these tips, too, to help me on my ‘being neat journey’.

1) I read or else someone told me this: at the end of the season, go through your clothes and take out the pieces you haven’t worn. So when winter is over, go through your winter clothes and see what you didn’t wear. If you didn’t wear that piece at all in the season, get rid of it. Chances are, you won’t be wearing it anymore.

2) If you have room under your bed, keep a storage bin under there to store off-season clothes, purses, shoes, papers, whatever you need to store to keep your room/closet being neat and tidy.

3) Color code your clothes. It helps you in finding the piece of clothing you need quickly.

4) Use pretty suitcases or boxes to store whatever you need. It helps decorate your room and hide the clutter you don’t want others to see, or you don’t have room for in your closet.

5) Keep the clothes you wear the most at face-level. The items you don’t use as much, store up high or in a bin under your bed. I found that when I stored my boots on my top shelf, I didn’t wear them as much this winter. It was too much of a hassle to get a step-stool to reach them. It wasn’t that I was being lazy, but it wasn’t a practical spot for them. What would have been better would have been if I stored my heels or less-worn shoes up there, not the ones I wear the most. You can store sweaters, or special occasion articles on the top to save room and keep your closet neat and efficient.

Hope you enjoyed these tips. I know that I will be using them to organize my closet and (try) to keep it clean. Have a great day!

#7- The Bow-Tie Scarf!

This way to tie a scarf is so cute. It adds a cute and new way to wear your scarf!

To create this look:

  1. Place the scarf around your neck, one side longer than the other.
  2. On the longest side, make a loop at its end.
  3. Flatten the loop in the middle, to make the bow.
  4. Take the other end, the shortest side of the scarf. Wrap it around the loop.
  5. Put the short side in the loop and pull both ends to tighten the bow.

#2- Spring Colors 2014! These are the colors you will be seeing this spring. From pastels to bright colors and all things in between, we are going to have a bright spring! Go bold this year. Try color blocking. Wear two, or three, (or maybe even more) bright colors together. Or, if that’s not exactly your thing, pastels, or soft colors, are also in! So whether you want to go bold, or you want to be subtle, the colors this year have everything for you!

Fashion Tip #1!

Hello there!
So today begins the 21 days of fashion tips. I am super excited about it and I hope you are too!
#1- Be your own person.
This is my tip for today. So often we try to be someone we’re not. I know I am guilty of this. I see someone wearing something cute and I want to go out and put together the same outfit, or try to look like someone I am not. I know it is really hard to remember. But you are unique. You have your own style, your own habits and your own way of doing things. Don’t let anyone tell you you can’t do something. Be your own person. Be the best you, you can be!

Spring 2014!

Hello again! I am so excited for the cold weather to be over soon; I don't know when it will be, but hopefully soon!
This spring is going to be full of pastels, florals and all things bright and cheery! I think most spring's are, but there's just something fresh about clean prints and bright colors to get rid of those winter blah's.

This unique dress is available on Amazon for just a small price! This dress could easily go from winter to spring.

Amazon has such adorable, affordable fashion! This next dress is only 9 dollars! There are so many cute dresses on Amazon; I had no idea of the variety of clothes they had.

I love wearing dresses, and can’t wait for spring! Although I wear dresses in the winter, dresses just yell spring!

My Outfit of the Day!

My Outfit of the Day!

Hello everyone! I thought I would show you my outfit for today. I am wearing a light, blush colored top from target, white and black polka dot pants ( I don’t remember where I got them. Probably TJMaxx or something 🙂 ) , brown shoes, also from Target, and my purse, of course, is from Target. I am wearing a long gold necklace and pearl earrings to finish off the look. Today I am just hanging out, with no plans in particular, and so thought I would go casual and comfy today. Compared the 1 degree weather we’ve been having, it feels really warm today! haha So that is all for today’s post. I will try to post more regularly as the new year has come. Hope you have a great day! Stay warm!
